After month of search director Madhur Bhandarkar has finally found the lead lady of his next film Heroine. Releasing the first look of this film during the 64th Cannes International Film Festival the director disclosed that the role of the female lead of this film has fallen in the lap of Aishwarya Ria Bachchan.

An excited Aishwarya while confirming that she will indeed ease the problem of Madhur by being a part of this project, said, “I have agreed to come aboard.”

Aishwarya added that Madhur and she wanted to work together for years and were looking for an appropriate project to achieve this objective. With Heroine, they have got that project.

Aishwarya said that Madhur is an award winning director and she is looking forward to the experience of working with him.

Aishwarya feels that just like the previous films of the director, which along with being entertaining, daring, emotional, shocking, glamorous and scandalous, were also women-centric, Heroine will also focus on women. Just like all other films of the director, Heroine will also focus on the realistic side of the women who work in the film industry and the other aspects of their life than what we see on the screen.

Just like his previous offering Fashion, making Heroine will be a big challenge for the director because most of the issues that Madhur will be trying to raise with this film are already known to the public. It will be solely his responsibility to present the subject in an interesting manner.
